I Have 76 Astre W/Out 4Cyl Auto.Like To Put 4.3 Auto From Late 80s/Early 90s S-10 Donner.Is There A Kit Or How To Do Out There?I Don't Want The Work & Cost Of V8 Kit.A Carb & Manifold For A 4.3 I Can Get At Any Parts Store.What About Mounts For Engine & Trans? Can I Use S-10 Rearend,What About The Driveshaft?I Hear The Astre Optioned 3.8 Or 5.0. Part Stores Don't List Parts For These Options. It Has A/C & On The Firewall Its Shaped Like It Made Room For A V-Engine. Is There Any Difference From The Vega Other Than The Grill & Tail Lights? Are V8 Monza Parts The Way To Go?

A more popular swap is the Buick 3.8 V6. It was available from the factory in the H-bodies. You will find more stock stuff readily available.
