Saw something on the New Eclipse.

I was looking at a magazine on all the new 06 models coming out and in the part on the 06 Eclipse they mentioned that mitsubishi is planning a turbocharged eclipse in the future. I believe they spacifically said a turbocharged rallyart, which would make me think it has better handleing, or 4 wheel drive, or something like that.

Question is Turbo 4 or Turbo 6.

the Lancer and Neon are going to have a common replacement on a common platform and Dodge will want a turbo 4 to replace the SRT4 (possibly a hatch instead of a sedan). theoretically this Eclipse would use that engine as well.

turbo 4, better idea altogether and at 7lbs of boost it'll match the cobalt and srt most likely, especially w/ the mivec.. and that would be AWESOME!! i'd trade my car for it fo sho

Zoom in, and read the section on the eclipse, the last line says says that a Ralliart turbo version is on the way.

yeah, that last line is really easy to miss, almost as if they want you to miss it altogether so if there isn't one, then they aren't to blame...or they just know nothing about the ralliart model of it

No they want that to be the last thing you read so that you will remember that part the most. Just like in any paper you write you always put the thing you want everyone to remember at the very end. Its just their way of making you remember it.

Ralliart art Turbo verison on the way I am going to have to stop by the dealer and talk to them about it and see if they can give me any details on it. Hell if that is the case then my 3g is out the door. I hope they turbocharger the 3.8 mivec. That would be awesome

any sentence w/ turbo, new, and eclipse in it all together w/o a no in it is getting noticed....it doesn't need to be at the end

It would seem like a really odd thing for Mitsubishi to do at this stage, considering its current lineup (hey, I'm not complaining, I'd love a turbo 4G!!). A turbo Eclipse would step on the Evo's toes, not to mention the 3.8 GT that's already rolling out. But then again, no one expected the crazy VR-4 spyder to come into production, so Mitsu does do its own thing sometimes.
