Now, the 2003 SVT Mustang Cobra raises the bar yet again, this time increasing power output to a level never before achieved in a production Mustang. The addition of a Roots-type supercharger and water-to-air intercooler to the Cobra’s 4.6-liter, DOHC 4-valve V-8 engine bumps output to 390 horsepower and 390 foot-pounds of torque.

ford first came out with a car that did 0-60 in 1.9 sec. but its a one of a kind its automatic 3- speed 9.8 liters 1/4 mile in 10.55(because of the automatic).i wish it was standard

I have seen dyno numbers on the 03 cobra 365hp at the wheels thats about 420 give or take 10hp at the flywheel ford new they underrated it for insurance reasons

A guy named Paul Svinicki took an '03 and done some mods to it and he got it to run 10.80s @ 132 mph at the '03 Cobra shootout in Bowling Green, KY at the NMRA Finals! Thats short shifting!

Also a different guy made 500 RWHP with his!

I'm glad you pointed that out Venomnized-------while Svinicki used slicks---to get under 11sec in the 1/4---he showed that with some excellent dry traction tires like the BFG G-force or PZero Neros---along with a lighter pulley on the blower and some 4:10 gears + new headers, x-pipe, and exhaust---you can easily get that car in the low 11s. Glad some one brought that up-----with those mods----you can run with any Viper------and definetely for a lot less than the $84K sticker on that wanna be Cobra.

hate to say it, but they put that Boss (created by Shindoa Boss) against the Lingenfelter Vette, which makes sense because bother were tuned by both Mr. Boss and Mr. Lingenfelter. the boss beat the vette in 0 - 60 1.9 to i think 2.0 or 2.1 but the vette killed in ¼ times. i'm like 99% sure that the stang lost by .8 seconds. But still its a great car i'd love to have.
