whats the best buy

Looking for a new set of 17's. I currently have nankangs on them and they are purty much wore down.. I really wasen't impressed with the nankangs persenaly I wouden't buy them again... They wore down reall fast and had no traction what so ever when the roads are a little wet. I would like you guys experience and opinion on what kind of tire to get and if anyone knows any good websites to get them.. I am looking for something for a reasenable price, have a longer tread life then the nankangs and actually have traction on a wet road...

When I had my 17s before a bad pot hole ruined 2 of them I was using sumitomo htr+ and loved them. Go to tirerack.com and do a comparison of the tires in the size you want I've found the ratings on their site to be truthful. If I would have had the money to do it back when I had them, I would have tried the kd...something(it has a claw like pattern) by bridgestone, I've heard they are one of the best overall tires you can buy

Re: whats the best buy

Best tire I've run to date, Hankook R-S2 Z212. I used to run Falken Azenis RT-215's before the Kooks, and these are BETTER in my eyes which is a hard feat since the Falkens are arguably one of the the stickiest street legal tires out there. I got mine for under $85 per tire from www.discounttiredirect.com They had free shipping when I got mine and might still have it, though I'm not sure...

Another great tire is the Yokohama ES100's. Sticky as well and they grip pretty good in the rain too.
