95 STS Blower motor-Sometimes works

I have a 1995 Cadillac STS and have the blower motor acting up. It quit working 5 days ago and I am ordering a new one to replace it. Today, the motor mysteriously came on without warning. Is the motor still bad (I doubt it) or is the Climate control panel bad? I read where the heater control module might have an affect on this also. I need some serious help!

Re: 95 STS Blower motor-Sometimes works

i had the same trouble with my aurora, move away the shroud above where your feet go, with the car running and the blower on high grab the bottom of the motor and feel around for a couple of small rubber spots and see if the motor starts up if it does you may have to rig up somthing to put pressure on those spots i stuck a very small screw driver in to it and left it there and it been there ever since...

Re: 95 STS Blower motor-Sometimes works

Hi Jeff,
I had the same problem on my 94 STS.
The connector to the blower motor sometimes does not make the connection as the clip broke off. Try pushing it in by hand and see if the blower goes on. If that does not work try bringing another ground to the black ground wire. After I got another blower motor from a wrecker I found out my old blower was good but the connection was bad. I put an elactic to keep it together and it works fine. Anyone want to buy a blower motor ?
