Break Light and Battery Light on

I was driving up recently and all the sudden my break light and battery light comes on. It has not come off since then. It did rain before they went on. PLEASE HELP

Hello Toyota1991, those lights usually light up at the same time when your battery is being discharged.

if your battery dies you should have the altenator checked to see if it is putting out the correct voltage. only thing I can think of at the moment. if the altenator is ok it's possible your battery needs to be replaced.

yeah, also just to know...the voltage regulators and diodes go bad in our alternators...if it tests out OK....good charging voltage/amperage and good charge/load test on battery...you can bet it's the voltage reg or diodes...my battery lights been on for about 1 year and 1/2...and it runs fine with no probs...

just a thought

I had the alternator changed and the car runs nice. Thank you for all the help.

Nice to hear you found the problem with your car and got it fixed.

I figured it was a faulty altenator but wasn't 100% positive.
