help
i need some help checking the timing .on a 89 honda civic dohc zc ,wich wire do i jump some people say i dont have jump any wire and some people say i do.also whats dagrees do i set it to. 2nd question ,why is it that when i start up my car it takes a while for it to warm up .the i dles goes to about 2k rpm then it goes down then cars turns off .do i have to adjust the idle speed or throttle cable,or timing? or is it the antifreez coolant that resently put in, i used the orange coolant .the cars runs really smooth and there are no codes .

It depends on your year where the jumper is. Some are by the resistor box to the fuel injectors and others (like mine) are inside the car in the passenger side footwell near the door. It's green with a little rubber boot cap I think. If your intake manifold has a FITV (fast idle temp valve) then it will adjust as necessary. However, it shouldn't take very long to warm up this time of year. Clean out your EACV on the backside of the intake manifold. I used q-tips to clean mine... works like a charm...
