Well if you're tight for cash right now, I'd hold off, but if you think you can handle it, and you really want the Type R, then I say go for it!

You have great taste, omg, I LOVE those yellow Type Rs. There's 2 of them that come out to the illegals regularly, and omg, they're soooo sweet.

So have you found any place that has any that you would like to buy? Or have you not really started looking yet?

well i'm headin back to school next month and i am makin a deal with dad.. well tryin anyway and if it goes thro i could have my civic paid off next month or the month after.. and if that's the case i think i'll hold it for the rest of the year.. save some money then either sell the si and put it down on an r... or trade it in if i can find a place that has one...
they have a nice 2001 in pamona right now but i'm not ready now just trying to figure out how to do it all.. but if this plan goes thro.. i could have my car paid off and my insurance paid for the next 3 years.. and all i have to pay for is classes... not bad at all, no rent, no car payment, no insurance, i would have no bills but school.. so it's all good i think there is a chance i can make this happen.. oh not to mention with this plan it'll take care of all debt i owe to my father on credit cards and so on.. so if this goes through i will be a happy man ... and i'm sure there will be a post about it .... i'll keep ya notified of how things go i should know by the end of next week... now i'm all excited thinking about it.. course it's 5am maybe that has something to do with it...
i almost bought a 2001 r last year before i moved but they wanted 28k for a used one..

Wow, that's so cool. Sounds like if this all goes through, things are gonna be sweet.
I don't know about trading in your Si at a dealership though--I think you'd be much better off just selling it. You'd get more for it.
Anyways, good luck with all, sounds like a great plan, and you seem to have it all worked out.

I know that once I have the cash I'm trading in my H for either a Nissan or Toyota . I love Honda, but I'd love to have an SR20DET under my hood.

Traitor

j/k Hey, whatever you want...

And THE4TH, my parents said that they were going to do that for me, but never did the oil changes--brakes and tires they did though (my stock tires that is, my 17's are still too new, and I doubt they'll want to buy me new rubber for those ). I really need to take my car in though...I'm at almost 38K now, and I think she should go in just for a check up. I take such good care of her, nothing is wrong, I know that, but I'm still going to try to find some time to get her in. Isn't the 30k inspection expensive? I never took it in because when I read the list of what they do at 30k, it's stuff that everyone should be doing anyways, but still...I'd rather be safe than sorry, ya know? And hey, if I'm not paying for it, I'm not going to complain either.

But the plan sounds good. At least you're saving more $$ now per month, that's always a good thing.

THE4TH, why not have both?

You could always swap in a B18C into your Civic and it will be the next best thing
