Need Help locating tranny Parts
I have a 96 metro with standard tranny that needs a main shaft front bearing. Does anyone know where to get one. The bearing number is 6206. I've checked the local bearing shops but, when they pull that number the ID is 32mm the old bearing is 19mm. They think that it's a special bearing made for the geo trannys. Any help!

Re: Need Help locating tranny Parts
you most likely have to go to a dealer to get it. i had to change the one in mine. i found a bearing with the same outside diameter but the inside was bigger than the geo bearing. so i had to make a bushing to press into the bearing then press the bearing on the shaft.
if you have to pay someone to make a bushing most likely you could get a new bearing cheaper. |
