long term project: Mitsubishi Eclipse

This one's gonna be a long term project. I've gotten the side skirts about 85% done and filled in the holes for the rear spoiler. , they just need a coat of primer and some final sanding. up next is the back bumper. then the front, then the hard task of the interior. which will require a new airbag steering wheel (May use the steering wheel out of the AMT Dodge Stealth.), stock front seats and stock back seats. The motor is going to be out of the box with some more detail added to it.

This might be a stupid question, but are you making it Eclipse stock? B/c I think the stock front bumper in the kit was for the Talon if I am not mistaken? Good luck.

Cool, a refreshing change from seeing these as only tuners. I knew someone someday would attempt this. Good luck w/it!

The front bumper in the revell kit is a bumper for talon and eclipse 95-96. In 97-99, the front bumper for those cars was changed.

There are no stock front bumpers at all in the kit, I have no clue who makes the one, but the other's are a Drift bumper, and the other is a Bomex version. I'm gonna cut up the Drift version to make a stock Eclipse bumper

I considered making an Eagle Talon, but it would require twice the amount of scratchbuilding. I have this crazy idea of mixing a Revell Eclipse, a Lindberg Chrysler Sebring, an AMT Dodge Stealth, and alot of evergreen plastic to make a Dodge Avenger

Here's the differences between the Eclipse and a Talon

The Eagle

and here's the car i'm replicating.
