Question Problem with Defogger

I recently purchased a 2003 Malibu. The dealer replaced the brakes, brake pads, and climate control panel but for the last 2 days I have been unable to drive the car because I cannot see out of my windshield. I have the defogger on and it has only gotten worse. The service guy at the dealer told me it is because of the unusually high humidity we have been experiencing this week. Can that be? Will I have to drive with my windshield wipers on in humid weather?

If the wipers are clearing it away, and it is on the outside, it is condensation not "fog." If you have the defogger on, then the car is blowing cold, Air Conditioned air (A/C always comes on with the defogger) on the inside of the window and causing condensation to form on the exterior.

If this is the case, try turning the defogger to a warmer temperature and a lower fan speed.

Does this mean I can't drive with the A/C on when it's a humid day? I have never had this problem with any other car. I literally cannot see out of my front windshield or side windows.

if it is condensing on the outside then you can use the ac on a humid day but just dont use the defogger cause its puting all the cold air directly on the windshield
