as long as your putting a DIN size deck into a DIN Size space and a 6x9 into a 6x9 opening etc, if all the parts are the same size, they should fit fine.

well, that's true, the bose systems I am familiar with ....... each speaker pod had a speaker, an amp, AND an EQ. Each pod was specific for each location in a specific car. They weren't that great in the 80's, I imagine they are even farther behind now - and most were designed for GM cars, so the size of the headunit will most likely not be to a DIN standard. I guess I would not take the effort if it were me.

Its an 88 coupe L. The radio is stock ( with an EQ). I guess what I'm really asking , is the head units & speaker openings the same size ? I have a chance to get the whole Bose system ( speakers & all ).
