pointless mod? is it legal?

I was talking with my friend bout personal experiances driving at night and coming up against people who decide its nice to ride your ass and flash high beams, especially those wonderfully talented SUV lovers. So i thought bout putting in 2 lamps in back window that were very bright like stronger then hallogen. I dont really know whats the best. and have them pointed out the back to return the flashing favor....some sorta switch upfront obviously, any comments? or least constructive feedback? anyone know if its legal/illegal in CT/MA area?

Hah, my dad has a floodlight in his car. 750 billion mili candle or whatever. It's fucking BRIGHT! It actually made me unable to see for about 6 seconds after shined in my eyes at 10 feet. Just grab one of those babies. He does it all the time, just don't do it to one of those cops who ride your ass late night because they think you are drunk.

Legal? think about it, as much as i agree with you about tailgaters, even the ones that have to run faster than you are wehn you are aready over the speed limit, as much as those types pis us all off, how would ya feel after hitting someone in the eyes with a bright light, temporary blinding them, causing them to crash and possibly die, just because of following close with high headlights.
I curse these Aholes as much as anyone else, but i dont want them to die, I wouldnt think you would either. Not to mention "if" that happened, what do you think might happen to you if the car following you both see's what went on and decides you are the Ahole that caused the crash and decides to stop and tell the police at the scene, possibly with your tag number,what you did? i dont quite think its worth it, do you?
And remember, so many people are so dummed up these days, driving SUV's, that have no clue (since its a brand new truck!) that the factory lights are a set so high, most all those new huge composite headlights do nothing but blind you, and the tall suv just makes it worse. There have been a lot of gripes and articles over this in the past against auto makers.
I agree with you in as far as something needs done with these type lights, but not such drastic action as what you want to do. I drive 100 miles a day, i am not, repeat NOT blinded by and TRACTOR TRAILOR (this for people in new suv"s) so if large trucks arent blinding us, assume its your new suv, and as far as i know, they all still have headlight adjustments on them, so duh! adjust those damn lights a little!!

Not only is that illegal but its unsafe. Do you know how much possible damage it can cause? I live in MA and you could get possibly arrested for lights that big. I would suggest the scare tactic. Due to the fact that most drivers see strobe lights and get shitty-pants do this. Go and buy two 2 Strobe lightbars like the cops have in there rear windows. Use white lenses. Flash them 2 or 3 times quickly they'll think your an undercover cop. LOL Trust me it works I had them in my moms volvo and my old cavalier with tinted windows. The reason why it works is cuz state police have a thousand differnt cars. MA has 2 mustang GT's. One is a yellow conv. and one is black. They also have a BMW M3. lol.

The cops around here have 2002 Camaros- 2 of em at least. I am not sure if they are SS or Z28 or not. Who knows. Then we have acouple motor cycles and then the rest are in some **** ford. I dont even know what kind. A Victorian or whatever perhaps if thats the name of them? Who knows. I just know its not a good ford model... if there is one.

When people ride my ass and I'm in a bad mood...I just slow down. I keep slowing down till they either back off or they try to pass then I floor it. That aggrivates the hell out of them. If you want a new car...try slamming the brakes and let them rear end you.

Be careful with the strobes...if someone were smart enough to get your tag and call you in...you're in deep shit impersonating a cop.

Also using a light to blind people is just stupid. You'll either scare the hell out of them or cause them to crash...hell maybe even both.

I've been pulled over by a Mustang GT in Georgia a long time ago because someone else broke the law. The bastard just wanted me because there were three teens in the car and I was from out of state. Gotta love cops when they get bored

A town i live near has A 2002 Camaro SS. Black with blacked out windows, exhaust, supercharger. I know this cuz my buddy has a turbo celica and he raced him. We go around a U-turn and he pulls us over. GOD DAMNIT. After 45 Mins of him yellin at my friend he takes away his license and makes me find a ride home.

You should get in trouble for "impersonating an officer" if the strobes are WHITE, i know the illegal colors in AZ are, red, blue, and orange. I dont see a problem with white, after all, its not like your flashing cop color lights and speeding around.

EXACTLY...whenever someone gets within 2 car lengths i slow the hell down, and then they give a look like I'm a retard or something when they pass me...but I only have people on my ass when I'm in the slow lane! and it's usually that lane that the dumb bastards get on peoples asses, as if they dont know the slow lane from the fast lane!

Not if you pull someone over with them. Trust me...If you use them for the wrong reasons you will get in trouble for them. Also they are illegal to use on the road...so one way or another you will catch hell for them.

Speaking of slow lanes...I get annoyed at the people that think the left lane is the slow lane. That and the people that get in the slow lane after they make you go around them.
