please help me locate this...

i'm trying to replace my VSS, i looked under the hood and under the car, i can't find it... here is the drawn picture from alldata (they didn't say say where its located, just a picture..)

the circle thing, i thought that was oil filter, i look across, can't find it, i look around the crankshaft sensor, still don't see it, i check around tranny above and below still don't see it.. i was lying under the car for 30mins and can't find it.... HELP please...thank you...

Mine is not a gs, but it's VSS is on top of the tranny beside the mount. I would say the round thing is your fuel filter. Follow the line attached to the fuel rail that should get you close. Then start looking for a wiring harness beside the mount.

i have a 98 esi manual, and the VSS is under the battery mounted in the tranny, next to the engine mount.

Yeah. You have to take out the battery and the batery tray to get to it. Its right up on top then, cant miss it. The tray is held on by, i believe, 4, 12mm bolts. Take off and it's right there.

ok i just looked all around my tranny, still don't see it.., i check around the rear motor mount still i don't see it.. someone told me maybe i have a japanese tranny that would explain why my speedometer says 45mph but the car is really going around 55-60mph.... i don't know...
i just add real pictures of my car from the areas of where the VSS is suppose to be, but nothing is there??
