Question Front Speaker

I am new to this site, but hoping to get some help please. I bought Kenwood speaker kit model: KFC-P605IE for front from the internet.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1072284520517

In the speaker kit, there is some kinda small black box with things inside it (can be seen in the best buy's picture). and 2 wires from that box are supposed to go to each tweeter and the speaker, and I guess one is supposed to be connected to OEM wire.

I took my door panel and OEM speaker (not tweeter yet), and connected the wire from the black box to Kenwood speaker (or woofer? not sure. its the bigger one) and tweeter, but I dont know where the other wire I should connect to.

OEM wire on the door splits one to the speaker & one to the tweeter from like a main wire.

Can anyone help pleaaaaaase?? I really cant afford to spend money on installation @ best buy!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Re: Front Speaker

i might be mistaken as ive never used them before, but i think those boxes are external crossovers since the tweeters are seperate. you should connect the original speaker plug to the box, and then there should be other wires that will go from the crossover to both the woofer and the tweeter.
if no one else knows, i will find out when i go to work on saturday(i work at best buy)

Re: Front Speaker

so yeah they are crossovers. our car audio guy said the + and - wires should go to the crossover(one +/- each for both woofer and tweeter, to their respective crossover), and then the plug from the stereo should plug into the crossover. i cant give you more details cause i havent seen the crossover, but you will most likely need to splice the wires from the factory plug to the crossover. hope it helps
