Cant turn brights off
The brights on my car turned on for no reason while i was driving to school today, and since then, not mater what i do with the lihgts switch or with the brights switch, they wont turn off (except for when i put the parking lights on i think) the brights symbol on the dash, and the HUD is also on. I have a reprogrammed pcm...i dont know if that could do it, but ive had it for a couple months without having the problem. Any ideas?

Re: Cant turn brights off
I seriously doubt the reprogrammed PCM is the cause, it's just coincidental.
Sounds like it's stuck in the high beam/flash headlights position. The 12v to the hi-beams, HUD indicator, and high beam indicator light are all on the same circuit which happens to be the output from the headlight dimmer switch (stalk) on the steering wheel/column. Sounds like the contacts are stuck in the on position. ![]() Thrasher CAI, DHP v1.0 PCM, SLP Headers, 3.25 SC pulley, CAIT GMAF, 2.5 DP/Hi-Flow CAT, u-bend delete, 160 TS, ZZP Stage 1 72mm TB, TB spacer, MSD 8.5mm wires, Autolite 103, Goodyear Gatorback Serp. & SC Belt, Nitto NT555R Drag Radials 1/4 ET: 13.210 sec. @ 104.490 mph 0 - 60 ft: 1.945 sec.

Re: Cant turn brights off
I agree with Bnaylor, either the switch is out of adustment, not allowng the rod to engage the switch or the switch itself is stuck/shorted in the bright position.
