Whats your opinion on this setup?

Ok, so this is what I currently have. Is there anything worth selling/exchanging?

JL 250/1
JL 10w0 (2)
Alpine CDA-9855

I was wondering, seeing as most of you probably know a lot more about car audio than myself, if this was a good setup. Its fairly loud and crisp in my opinion, but I was wondering if it is as good as it seems.

Re: Whats your opinion on this setup?

Yeah, I was wondering if someone would say that, I got the same answer from the guys at the local Tweeter, however I do have a warranty on the w0's and as you must know, they no longer make them, which means I get w1's .

Oh by the way, I was wondering if anybody knew where the factory amplifier on a 2004 Chevy TrailBlazer is. So if you know any Chevy freaks or happen to know yourself lemme know .

Re: Whats your opinion on this setup?

ehhh... w0's are mediocure subs, for the price, eh, not bad. i would never touch a w3v2 and a w6v2 only if it was given to me for a great price. the w7 is over hyped and over priced. the w1...ehhh. 4w1 12's and 500w didnt impress me at all... my Ava18 apsolutely killed it and 2 power acoustic mofo 12's and 500w in the same enclsoure (just with 2 of the chambers empty) where alot louder than the 4 w1's. so twice the cone are and half as loud, Sound quality being another issue.
if you like it keep it but if you need improving for the low end there is a lot that is alot better, a simple swap with an RE RE10 would gain sme loudness probably, SE for sure. if you want to stick to main stream pick up an Alpine Type R 10 and you would gain some loudness and still sound as good. that amp is a stout little amp, no need for upgrading it untill you want to run more high powered drivers or more than 1 driver. 250w is plenty if you are satisfied with a single ten, lol.

Re: Whats your opinion on this setup?

Oh well if you wanted my tweeters you could have asked jeez. Boston Acoustic SX 60s. And no, it doesn't sound like ass.

I currently have 2 w0's. But if you say that Alpine Type R's are louder, would it be worth it to switch them out?

louder? yes. going from a boom boom to earth shadering...no. but you will always have the advantage of being able to add more power.

it should be in the rear side panel in the cargo area. i think it is on the passenger side but i could be wrong. if it has the factory sub it will be near that. you will have to pull the side panel off to get to it which is a little bit of work.

Re: Whats your opinion on this setup?

not 100% sure, but I belive its in the rear left quarter pannel, and its a bitch to get at, why do you need to go there? what are you trying to do? if you are trying to re wire the factory setup for an after market deck, you should be able to find all the wires running in the main harness down the passenger side of the vehicle, I wouldn't suggest doing the type r 12's with your amplifier you have now, as they require quite a bit of power, it wouldnt sound bad, but it wouldnt sound amazing, buy a bigger amp before you change your subs.
