Angry escort wont start

earlier today while driving our 1994 ford escort stalled and now it wont start..we have changed the spark plugs and dont know what else could be wrong....When we try to start it it just cranks but wont fire up..

Check the timing belt. It probably broke while you were driving. Common problem if you don't change them on a regular basis. You can look in the area where you put the oil while cranking. If the valves don't move then the belt is shot.

Thank you will have to get that checked out....it's getting towed tomorrow!! also is there any other things we should check???

I agree with gtp but seeing how you asked, check there is spark to the spark plugs (telling if the wires and coil/pack are good) and that there is fuel and its getting to the engine.

Thank you also, but my bf put new spark plugs in and that dont seem to be the problem!! Well we'll see after it gets towed to a garage this morning!!!

Yes but the spark plugs are after the wires and and coil. if either of the two are bad you wont get spark to the spark plugs but either way let us know how you made out.
