Unhappy Silencer stuck, please help

I just bought an OBX b3 bomber muffler (new) and had it installed about an 2 hours ago, ANYWAYS, it has a removable silencer with 1 screw on the bottom of it holding it in. I unscrewed that pulled on the silencer and it still won't budge. I used WD-40 and everything, but i can't get the silencer off! Has anyone had this problem, and what do you do for it? Thanks

try sticking a hire hanger in the hole and pulling on the back of the silencer. Always worked for me.

my friends integ had the same problem with the obx muffler. silencer won't come out. because you're supposed to take out the silencer before you get it welded on, that way when the muffler cools after the welding it won't close around the silencer. well what you do is take off the screw and use like a pick, insert it into the silencer hole and pound on the other end with a hammer. we tried for hours trying to get that thing off, and it wouldn't budge. so we just took it back to the exhaust shop and they took it off in like 5 seconds. the tool looks like a pick with a t handle on it. good luck

its called a slide hammer. it is a common tool for bodywork. might be able to rent one at a parts store.
