man i really cant stand rich people (or people that want to appear as being rich) huge cars, wasting money on stupid shit, so damn self centered! no wonder i never watch TV thats all i see when i turn it on! this is so annoying. i dont understand how someone could be that selfish.

I think this belongs in stress relief.

But just because someone is rich does not make them self centered or arrogant. A lot of rich people give spread there money around to lots of charities. They just don't make the news because they are either not famous or choose to not make a specticle of it.

What's this all about anyways? You can't tell me if you were rich you wouldn't go buy a nice house, nice cars and other things you could afford?

Yeah this is more or less stress release, or maybe even philosophy.
There are the tasteful rich and flashy rich. A good deal of rich people are indeed arrogant, and they want to show the world just how rich they are, so they buy whatever they can afford to rub everybody elses face in it - these are the rich people you see because these are the rich people who want you to see them.
Other rich people... my friends uncle is a millionaire - he and his wife drive used Subaru wagons, and dress like normal people. They have a huge house, and yacht though, but they're not the kind of people who feel a need to show off their wealth. If you saw them, you probably wouldn't think they were rich.

thats it right there, there's NO NEED at all to be flashy except for your poor self control / self image. The only thing that gives these people any good feelings towards themselves is when other feel inferior to them. I was going to post this till I read the last reply. Whatever they buy is their buisness, and you can chose to take it whichever way you want.

Its only a problem to me when the rich people are openly condescending (sp?) pricks. If they want to think that way let them do it, so as long as they keep that shitty attitude to themselves.
