98 Aurora Blower Motor

The a/c and heater kick on but the fan does not run. I need to replace the blower motor or module. Can anyone tell me how to get to both of these and does anyone have a detailed picture or instructions for these?
Also, so I don't have to buy both parts, how would I go about testing these to determine which one is bad?
The fan was running intermittantly and then stopped completely.

I have a similar problem. I turn on my heat or ac and the lights come on on the dash but the blower does not come on. But when I hit a speed bump it comes on blowing air like normal. I was thinking their was a loos connection in the blower somewhere but not even sure where to look under the hood. Any help with be appreciated.

Re: 98 Aurora Blower Motor

i had the same problem ,after nearly a year of erratic behavior i noticed that when i held the blower motor around the bottom of the beer can size cylinder there are 2 small rubber spots and when you press on them the speed of the motor would speed up to full blast, so i carefully rigged some constant pressure onto those areas and i havent had any trouble in the past 8 months

I finally worked it out. Turned out to be the Blower Control Module. Dealer only part around $110.00.

It's located under the dash on passenger side, on the side of the center console at the rear. Two screws, one (against the firewall behind the module) is difficult to get off and then you can pull out the module and replace. Pull the unit off before disconnecting the connectors. It's much easier.

It took about 15 minutes to replace.

Hope this helps.
