1994 Sunbird Transmission Problem

I have a 94 Sunbird 4cylinder auto, today I put my car in reverse to back out my parking space and the car just kinda shutterd backwards. I put the car into drive and everything was fine until I was almost home and it felt like something was holding my car back from going forward. I wasnt getting the power that I should have from how hard i was on the gas. When I pulled into my driveway, I put the car in park, and rev'd the engine in each gear. I put into reverse and had no backwards action at all. After giving it some gas while in reverse the car jerked backwards like something was stalling to ingage my reverse gear but i dont know. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE I NEED MY CAR BACK OUT ON THE ROAD ASAP!!!
