i've got an 88 legend c27 5 speed and im trying to put a coolant temp gauge in it but the only sending unit i can find on it is to small for the sensor probe to fit into it. my haynes manual says there is more than one but only tells me where one of them is. the one i found is next to the far end of the upper radiator hose and bleeder valve. any help would be great. thanks

Re: coolant temp. sending unit
if you want it to fit, you gotta buy an adapter for it, idk what size it is though

Re: coolant temp. sending unit
most temp sending units will not tap into hondas small coolant sensor position. you will have to retap into the head. but, if you already have an oem coolant temp sensor, there really is no point in tapping a new sensor in the head. whats important is, if your existing temp gauge still reads whether it is hot or cold.
