timing qustion Fast help.

i know you can advance the timeing bye spinning the dis, but wich way do you spin it left or right, im sorry for this dum question. i thought it was to the left. also i herd it incresses horse power bye like 2 or 3 is this true, thanks.

A couple degrees adv may add minimal hp that you will not feel. You turn dist clockwise to advance if i remember correctly. But note, this may cause a stock engine to run rough at idle/cruise. Also it can cause you to spark knock. 12* adv I beleive is all you would need in a stock motor. If your motor is not stock then please give us a little more info so we can help you a little more.

its a 90 5.0 5spd, cold air intake, msd 6+ box, duel 200 alt., bbk headers and x pipe, flow master mufflers, Air cond. taken off. and a new crome dis.

If you adv it clockwise it can give you more power, but if you change to a higher oct fuel that will give you the ability to even adv the timing more, for a little more power.
