whats wrong with people????

the other morning I was driving home from work, when this other driver was busy eating breakfast or something and almost swerves into me, being it 6:30AM Sunday, i was able to slam on my brakes and lay on the horn, this guy starts yelling and waving something! be it a phone, corisant, gun, i have no idea. What is so wrong with people that taking a few seconds to check the mirrors ends up being so complicated?

I love that move. Im not paying attention so im almost going to hit you. Then, when you honk and get mad about it im going to try to blame it on you. People are retarded when it comes to that kinda stuff. My personal favorite was watching this girl slam on her brakes while she literally used both hands to cover her eyes. Simply brilliant.

I like it when assholes ride your bumper and then try to pass you in the no passing lane. Since this happens most of the time while I'm in my Mustang I just hit the gas and piss them off right when they get into the other lane and get ready to pass.

hahhaaha, covered her eyes, do ya know my sister? i mean if it was a weekday with trraffic, I sure as hell woulda his his stupid Explorer. I know that there are moments when we all don't have 100% concentration on the road, but why blame another person for what YOU FAILED TO DO? ok im mad at everyone because i was busy changing radio stations, ran a red light and killed two pedestrians, but its your fault for not getting out of the crosswalk -- isn't that stupid, i hope my ass would get kicked for having that logic, and all I'm asking to do, is attach an electric dog collar that gets activated when the transmission is in anything but Park (automatic's), or Neutral (manual's) and gives you a very mild shock when eyes look down at radio, start wandering and catch that cutie jogging down the busy street. ok, maybe not the shock may cause some people to freak out and veer left or right, but its an idea in the works.

Because YOU were paying attention you were able to prevent an accident. To get into my work parking lot I have to make a left turn off a 4 lane highway that has no turn lanes. There have been a lot of wrecks here. Although I always try to time my approach so I can turn without stopping, this morning I had to stop because of heavy oncoming traffic. While sitting there with my signal on I noticed the driver coming up behind me was not slowing down. (I always watch my mirrors) Because I was paying attention I was able to drive forward (missing my turn) before Mr/s. Oblivious was able to wreck my car and my life.

On a related note, I constantly see drivers yacking away on cell phones. You won't find one on me while I'm driving. I believe most accidents could have been prevented by one or the other driver. Then again I guess you could just cover your eyes!

Yeah, i tend to do that to those assholes too. My truck is pretty quick from a roll and i can usually keep them from passing. That really pisses people off.


I sometimes do talk on my cell phone when im driving. Though if traffic is bad i usually tune out the phone until its safe to resume talking or just tell the person ill call them back. Unless someone is dying i dont think i need to risk an accident to get the "411" of the day.

ditto. That happened to me the other day. Some jackoff in a white ford aerostar (Oregon license number WCQ955, btw) almost hit me the other day. Not once. Not twice. Three times in a row. Heres the whole story. I was approaching a red light in the left lane which had no traffic. He was in the right lane with cars in front of him. The light turned green and I continued towards it at ~40mph. a carlength in front of me he decides to pull out without signaling from a dead stop so that he can get out of the traffic. I lay on the horn and slam on the brakes. Continue on driving. I get in front of him in the passing lanes. Passing lane is about to end. He wants to get back in front of me because I am only going 5 mph over the speed limit as opposed to 20. Sign says DO NOT PASS, and I watch him in the mirror as he swerves over to try to pass me on the right as I am trying to merge. I block him and hit WOT because he is an asshole and I don't want to get in an accident that might be considered my fault. He now rides in my bumper for the whole way. Now we are in a downtown area, with 2 lanes. I am in the left lane. He is in the right. Again, he is behind stopped cars, and I am now approaching in the left lane at ~40 mph. He again proceeds to pull out 2 or 3 car lengths in front of me. I lay on the horn and brakes and copy down his license number so I can have some fun with it. Asshole.

Oh and he never once did use his turn signal.

That pisses me off too. When idiots cant use a turn signal. It seriously takes about half a second to flick your wrist to signal. Now if its like 2 am and your the only car on the road who gives a shit. When your in traffic and can cause an accident use it. i just want to bitch slap people everyday because they do not know how to drive at all.

ec437, i know in most, if not all, states you can call the state patrol, give the plate number. usually first time is a warning, but if they get multiple complaints there will be contact made by the state troopers. In Colorado its *CSP (on a cell) everyone should find out if this is available in their state/locality. hell, even store the # on phone.

i remember one tiem some stupid bitch almost rear ended me on the high way. i was approaching a sharp curve in the road, and was traveling at 50, not going faster or slowing down. and all of sudden i see a car coming up on me FAST. the stupid cunt didnt brake or anything. then when i realized she wasnt going to, i downshifted and gunned it right as she finalyl decided to break, and THEN change lanes. she got about 4 ft of my rear bumper, and wouldve hit me had i not took off like that. and as she was driving past, the stupid bitch gave me a dirty look.

i do'nt think cell phones are the worst problem, i'd have to say old people. i have had more near misses with them than i can remember. for example...tonight. i was driving home from dinner and the light had been green for my directino for already over 45 seconds *out in the country u can see the lights from far away* and as i get closer to the intersection i get in the right turn lane, right turn signal and everything, slowing down and stuff. and i look right to make sure no one is already turning and there's this car inching across the intersection, blowing a red light. no fucking clue where they came from but slowingly going across and then i start to go cuz they were going so slow and then they speed up at me and i slam on my brakes and lay on the horn, just barely missed getting clipped by them. figures it's some old couple not paying attention. i then got stuck behind them for the next 10 miles in the no passing doing 20 mph.....we really need mandatory retesting for seniors, they're just not safe.
