but in any case its 245 hp (weak) its still 2.0 and its being put in an AWD matrix in japan, but the best thing is its getting a revised X-trac transmission (i can see swaps), and that hp rating is only at 10 psi of boost instead of the 3rd gens 14.5 pounds at 260 hp....ill post the link tonight oncei find it again

the TC is a HORRIBLE car, id much rather have a matrix...heavy as FUCK handles like shit and its fwd
at least the matrix is about 50-100 pounds lighter and is awd, plus its a hatch and you could easily take 200-300 pounds off by stripping it alone

You are really into the weight stuff aren't you 91 st??? Hopefully you know your stuff cuz this one is gonna test it. You can PM me the answer so I don't whore your thread. Ok here goes: I want a 50/50 Weight dist. in my all trac, can you figure out how I can get one pretty easily? Also should I have it 50/50 or like 55/45 becuz of power displacement? Any other info would be great. Thanx

Re: NEW 4th gen 3s-gte coming out in japan, hope we get it here...
this topic is pretty debated, whats essentially better? a 50/50 or a 55/45?
in all honesty- BOTH 50/50 is ideal for drifting, its been sought after by many ae86, 240sx, and other drift cars....but recently (and thanks to nissan) theyve proved that having a 50/50 NOT Ideal for drifting or racing they figrued in ANY car, no matter how stiff or soft the suspension, weight can (and will) be transferred backwards upon acceleration, and transferr forward updon de-acceleration if not enough weight is tranferred backward up acceleration you will get wheel spin (exiting the turn or taking off) the less it leans back the less weight will be infringed upon the rear and the easyer it will break loose....this essentially is bad, if your exiting a turn, and you go to accelerate out, and not enough weightis on your back tires, youlll most likely loose traction, now theres also the fact that if too much weight go backwards, not enoguh will be on the front, and if you need to turn really quick....your sckred and you will get understeer basically nissan tested and found that 53/47 in the 350z was the PERFECT weight distribution in THAT CAR, i.e. in driving or drifting, becuase weight will inevitably transferr backwards, and they figured 53/47 will even out in drifting to 50/50 while you drift becuase the cars leaning back this formula dosnt really work for every car, i.e. yoru all track, diffrent weight distributions effect diffrent things, like what drivetrain your using (lol fwd, awd, or rwd) and what kind of racing your doing pretty much, to even out your 55/45 to act like 50/50 theres a few things you could do, if you want your car to lean more in the front when you brak, you leave the stock suspension up front, and you get stiffer srping s in the back, and a stronger bound, and rebound in the back with the shock...this makes it so when you break more weight will transferr forward, and less will tranferr backwards....if you want weight to transfeer more to the back, do the same but with the back, stock in the back, and get stiffer suspension up front, this will force the weight transferr mroe to the rear (or you could get adjustable coilovers and set the back for the softestsetting and front for the stiffest) hope that helps a little....you gotta remember thaeres actually ALOT of geometry involved with suspension, things like: you know lowering your car (center of gravity) can benefit handeling greatly...but if you actually lower your center of gravity too much, it will actually negate the effect and make your car handle WORSE than it did before ever seen a rally or track car thats slammed (other than things like nascar smart asses ) no not really, becuase when you slam your car its actually not very good for it...on a celica id say anything past dropping it 2.0 would completely screw up the center of gravity
