240,000 Miles - Roll over

Today, my 95 GP has turned over 240K. 1 Starter, 1 Alt, Brakes, Fuel pump, Transmittion and 4 sets of tires....that's all.

I bought her with 120 miles. Thus far - 13,333+ gallons a fuel. She looks great still.

However, I haven't had the chance to change the Dist. O Ring but will do it this weekend. But I have another problem....I think.

I had to put Trans. fluid into her because I noticed she wasn't shifting like she should. I had to take my foot off the gas for her to shift.

Appearantly, she is loosing the fluid. Because of the oil leak, I'm not sure where she might be leaking on the tranny.

While I'm in her this weekend, can anyone tell me where to look or if there might be something else?

Thanks!!

Re: 240,000 Miles - Roll over

Your car came with one of two transaxles. One is shifted electronically, the other uses a vacuum modulator. If yours has the vacuum modulator, the diaphragm may be torn and causing the loss of fluid and strange shifting you are experiencing.
