1997 Dodge Caravan stalling
I am having the same problem with my 1997 Dodge Caravan stalling as I am driving. I have taken it in 3 times and the mechanics are unable to determine what the problem is. Has anyone had this problem and how was it resolved?

Re: 1997 Dodge Caravan stalling
Does it restart after it stalls and how long does it take before it stalls? If it restarts and then stalls shortly thereafter you will probably need to replace the crank position sensor. They do not throw a code when they go bad but will cause the vehicle to stall without warning. Also some stalling in chrysler cars indicates that the ecm is going bad. I would change the CPS before looking at any other parts.

Re: 1997 Dodge Caravan stalling
When it stalls does it just die out, or does it sputter and stall?

Re: Re: 1997 Dodge Caravan stalling
Got the same problem I believe with 97 TC - once after coming to a stop at a traffic light - just stopped/stall - started right up. Happen again after being parked for about 1.5 hrs. Started up fine and than just stopped/stall. Started right up again. Trying to get this resolved before it happens again on the highway.
Any ideas |
