i have a cherokee that i have put a fuel pump on and idle air control valve on, it will start and run at idle ( inline 6 throttle body injected) as soon as you give it throttle which is air it bogs down and dies. To me it sounds like it is getting too much air, fuel pressure is fine. If any one has any information that could help me i would greatly apperciate it, thanks

Re: 89 jeep cherokee
Sounds like it could be your egr valve. I read an earlier thread that had a similar problem, stalled right away when the gas is touched even a little. Try a search for egr valve in the forum and you should find it.
It's located on driver side front fender towards the front. Has a vacum line and an electrical connector going to it. |

My 89 did something very similar to yours. Check ur fuel resistor its i little ceramic pbox type thing with to plugs coming out from it on ur drivers side fender. Check to make sure ur 2 connections are good. Good luck
