Having problems starting, any ideas?

I have a '96 Cavalier that I'm having problems starting. It seems to be that it won't start after its been used for a long period of time (so maybe when it gets hot?). If I do happen to get it started though, it works fine and I can make it to my destination. Anyone have any idea on what could be the problem? I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks for any help on this!
