96 Cav Brake Light on After Towing

1996 Cav was towed, stick shift, emergency brake on. It was pulled up onto a flatbed tow truck. Only dragged a short distance.
The brake light has been on ever since. I'm guessing the pads or rotors were somehow damaged, but I'm wondering if the emergency brake has been damaged somehow? Any quick thoughts and basic cost of repair in a decent shop? (Friends car, I'd rather pay to have it fixed than do it myself since I somewhat helped get it towed.)

I'm guessing $150 if it needs need rear pads/rotors with labor and anything else. Or if a sensor could have been damaged instead.

Thanks

I can't see the short tow/drag causing any damage. Try checking the cables to see if they might have tightned during the action. They could be exerting undue tension on the cable all the way onto the hand brake lever, and preventing the e-brake signal switch from disconnecting. Pushing down firmly on the hand brake lever might extinguish the light. Logically, your DRL's should not be on if the handbrake is engaged....so some adj of the handbrake could be in order anyways.
