help with ecu problems

is there a difference in manual and auto tranny when concerning ecu's

Can't "reflash" DSM ECUs, but you can burn a new eprom for the EPROM ECUs, but they are somewhat rare. Doing so can fix the 1g injector issue. For reference 1g autos have 390s, while all other turbo models have 450s.

i dont know, a few months ago it stalled my car and it never turned over since. i took it to the shop and he said it was the injectors and ecu, so im in the market for a working one

That would not be wise, even if it would actually work. 2g NTs are completely different from 2g turbos.

what is the year and gen of a 4g63. im asking cause i was shopping for a ecu and the description read: 4g63 non turbo. but it didnt indicate the gen or the year. and also can you guys tell me the same about a 420a

420a was in the 2g non turbo (95-99). Any non-turbo 4g63 in a DSM would be a 2.0 1g (90-94) (there were also 1.8s, not sure what the code was on those).
