high idle

I recently spray cleaned the throttle body, with a spray I've used before.
A couple of days later, I get a "service engine soon " light. The idle is around 1200 to 1400 rpm. (used to be around 700)
P0507, "unexplained high idle" comes up on the reader. The engine runs smooth and well. There's about 112000 Km on the car.
I'm thinking I'll disconnect the battery to reset the computer, and see what happens next.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: high idle

i would reset the computer, the IAC may have been blocked off before. or some gunk got loose and now the valve is stuck open.

Re: high idle

From info on another thread, it was suggested that the O-rings on the injectors may be bad, and that the intake gaskets fail....
Spraying throttle body cleaner last night at the #1 and #2 injectors picked up the idle, (3 and 4 didn't), as well as spraying around the gasket at #1 and #2 cylinder.....
I've got to get a more pin-point sprayer, but it looks like i've found the problem.
It also looks like a problem to change the gasket - no room. (typical on new vehicles)

Re: high idle

FYI: I chickened out of changing the intake gasket myself - I looked when the company changed it. They removed the top motor mount. I guess that let them twist the engine for more room.
And it was the gasket. I saw where it had warped.
The idle is now back to a normal 700 rpm.
