First of all... WELCOME TO AF!!!

$4800 and you get a 305, 350 and a 72 malibu? Sounds like a good deal right off the bat. Are both engines complete, and in running condition?

If you can, I would get a good look underneath the car. Get a good look at the frame. Make sure it is in fairly good shape. Is the car drivable? If so, take it for a spin, and see how the tranny is. Make sure its not slipping, and that it doesnt pull or dogwalk when going straight. How is the interior? What about the glass on the car...is it in good cond? or does it have cracks? Check the Diff if you can as well.

Those are the basics that I would check out. For $4800, with 2 engines, and you say the paint is pretty good. As long as there are no major faults (ie: broken or heavily rusted frame, slipping tranny, etc...) and the frame is fairly rust free,I would definitly get it!

If the seats are ripped, or the dash is cracked (which is to be expected, unless its been really well taken care of) you can always get that stuff later. This would make a great project car.

Let us know what you decide
