Question 97 Blazer lift

Does anyone know what the best and most cost effective way to lift a blazer is? I only want to lift it about 3". 4 at the most.

Do you want a body or a suspension lift? A body lift will run you about 150 bux. A suspension lift will run you about 1200. You don't want to go with the smaller lifts. Why? Because every lift kit out there doesn't properly change the geometry of the front end suspension. You will end up going through ball joints like you do underwear. The trailmaster 5" is the only 5" that keeps the stock geometry. There is a 6" out there that does well too but I can't remember the name off hand.

2WD or 4WD

It is a 4WD the everything is original except for what has been changed with maintenance cycle and a few other minor things in the interior.

Re: 97 Blazer lift

Body lift is much easier and cheaper , I did both . A 2" suspension lift comes with new upper control arms to keep the front end geometry correct . I spent $600 on my combined lift to gain 7 inches to the seat . Rob
