radio problems

hey everyone,
i have a 2001 gp gt with a radio problem. it seems like the back right speaker only works when it wants to. it will either be on or off when i start the car up, it doesn't cut in and out it either works or it doesn't. i figure it must be some problem with the actual head unit but can i fix it and what might it be. the radio doesn't have the 5 band eq or anything it just has a treble and bass contol. any help would be appreciated.

Re: radio problems

Id pull the head unit out and check for bare wires and check the wiring to the speaker. If all else fails go to www.clubgp.com and buy another stock headunit for 40 bux

Re: radio problems

I would bet the speaker is bad, or if your car has the optional low frequency amp, the amp could be the problem. I'd put my money on the speaker, it's the more common problem.
