My overhead compass will not calibrate. Heres what it shows: "95 cal NE" and will not change. If you hold down the 2 buttons at the same time after about 5 seconds it shows: "var" and "cal" directly under it. When you let go you set the var and then it goes back to same one I showed earlier. Any thoughts?
Thanks, Randy |

Re: Calibrating Compass
Here's how I calibrate my compass in my 1998. Go to an empty parking lot. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left, drive your blazer slowly in (3) full circle's. Your compass should be calibrated... Have fun.

Try this (from the manual):
"You may also place the compass in a noncalibrated mode by pressing and holding the MODE and US/MET buttons simultaneously while in the COMP/TEMP mode. After about ten seconds, the compass will display C and you can release the buttons. Drive the vehicle in a complete 360 degree circle three times at a speed less than 5 mph, and the compass will function normally. Once the calibration is complete, the display will return to a compass reading." |
