97 Sebring Blower Switch only works on high

Hi, My heater/AC blower switch is dead in positions 1,2,3 and works in position 4, high speed. Any help trouble shooting would be greatly appreciated. I have read the other blower posts but they refer to a resistor pack on the passenger side dash, I coudn't locate this on my 97, the posts refered to 01-02 models.

Thanks, Rick

There is a plastic cover under and behind the glove box. There are 2 plastic "screws" that hold this on. Pry the plastic screws out, pull the sheild back towards the passenger seat with more pull on the right side.

Follow the blower wires up to the resistor, remove the 2 screws, replace the resistor with mopar p/n 04885844.

It was a piece of cake, most difficult part was pulling the wire connector off the resistor. Took, maybe 20 minutes. My part from the dealership cost $18.92 after tax.

Good luck

What was so difficult about getting the wire connector off? Awkard location? Special tool needed? My 2001 is doing the same thing. I'm not bad at tinkering, but want to make sure it's ot beyond my skill level.

Thanks,

No, it was just tight, pryed it with a screwdriver, wasn't really that bad.
