Question Battery/Alternator??

I have a 98 Rodeo. This morning I noticed the Battery AND Brake light were on the dashboard. I drove to work and stopped once (w/o shutting off vehicle for fear it wouldn't restart) and when I got out of the store I noticed the radio was dead. When I finally arrived at work I shut it off and tried to restart. DEAD!! I put a new battery in and starts fine. Drove it home and tried to restart which it did BUT it seemed sluggish. Also think the wipers are goung a tad slow. Any ideas??? Also after putting new battery in, the lights on the dashboard remained on. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Replace your alternator.

what if

i also have the fuel light on.....so i have the fuel/brake/battery lights on when i start the car and no matter how fast i go (speed or rpm), it stays the same...after reading through some of these posts it seems i need to take note of how much voltage is in my battery reading.....but with at least half a tank, why the fuel light?

also, these lights cause my a/c fan to not even blow, right? i always keep my radio and a/c on when i turn the car off and on....this could have caused the wear?
