That is ridiculous. If I would be one of the parents I would freak out. If you have a problem with what a girl is wearing you take it with the parents not handle it yourself. That is demeaning and disgusting.

Any how, this is what I don't get. How is wearing a thong any more exposing then a swim suit when your wearing clothes with it? I'm sure this school has a swim team... Furthermore the thong only becomes a "problem" when it's exposed, so crack down on THAT, not your student's choice of underwear!!

Yeah, that story has been big up here lately. I don't understand either why it matters what you wear under your clothes. I mean, if what I'm wearing is fitting, I'm not going to want to have lines showing--that's my decision, and that's my business.
It's harassment and if anyone ever told me I had to show them what I was wearing to get in? Oh hell no... it just seems like a power trip or something--I don't know how to explain it. I mean, some of the public schools are getting really tight on dress codes now.

Exactialy! The clothing exposing the underwear should be the issue, not the underwear! If we go by this theory that the VP in question is using, it would be ok if you were wearing grannie panties (For lack of the correct word... What is the correct name) and a mini skirt... Now that makes just about as much sense as a screen door on a submarine!
