1999 Tahoe A/C Clutch won't engage

Is there a way to test the electronics in the pump and wiring harness to see if I have a signal problem before I assume the clutch is burned out?

Apply 12volts from the battery to the connection on the compessor clutch. if it clicks clutch is probally good. did you check freon charge/ pressure switch?
