engine blowback?

hey, I got a 96 neon, The head in being milled now and I'm getting new valve seals put in they only wanted $20 extra to do I. so why bother doing it my self. When I removed the head things seemed normal but after looking at my other parts I found about a cup on oil in my intake. Soo that's one of the reason in changing the seals. But on to my question. What else's could be causing the blowback? Could it be my #4 piston rings? Before the head blew I never had any smoking problems. And my vacuum lines don't seem clogged. So someone please help me.
Email me at [email protected] if you know.

thanks,

Re: engine blowback?

im assuming you have a dohc in that case in the high rpms the motor shoots oil through the pcv valve and into the the air intake. the sell oil restrictors you can pout into the valve that stops this from happening but the oil your finding is coming through that valve. the pcv is located under the air intake manifold and has the black hose that runs into the air intake manifold
