UPDATE: ERG and EVAP Code 2000 Montana
Mechanic states I need a new gas cap and will clean EGR sensor. Estimate is for 1.5hrs labor to clean ERG...is this right??? At $80 an hour, isn't that a little much to remove the sensor, spray Gumout and screw it back in???
Comments please! |

Re: UPDATE: ERG and EVAP Code 2000 Montana
The EGR sensor is a part of the EGR valve. You can't really "clean" it. You could clean the valve though but I doubt that is your actual problem. I'd tell him to go fly a kite and tighten up your gas cap. If it happens again, replace the gas cap. You can get the code read and reset from Autozone or Advanced Auto for free.
