1998 Won't start
At 160,000 I had my motor replaced in my ZX2 with the same year motor from a reputable salvage yard. The used one had 45,000 miles on it. 13,000 miles later (173,000 on the car, approximately 58,000 on the motor) I had a couple of days where when I started the car it would run rough for a minute or so and finally smooth out. After about two days of this it only started by pumping the gas and flooring it for about 5 seconds then I made it home where when I cut it off it won't do anything but turn over now. I changed the fuel filter, still will not start. I am not a mechanic but have a little common sense if anyone can help point me in the right direction. It is a 5 speed, and I hear the fuel pump when I turn the ignition key on. I located the fuel pump driver module but how would you test it or should I be looking somewhere else. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Allen

Re: 1998 Won't start
Sounds like it is overfueling on cold start. Did you look at the plugs and see if they are fuel saturated? I bet they are.
Possible causes if so are are bad fuel pressure regulator, coolant temp sensor, intake air temp sensor.

Re: 1998 Won't start
I first check the resistance in the wires and it seemed fine. Then $11 and four new plugs later fixed the problem and they were fuel saturated as you said. I have driven it for a week and pulled one of the plugs which seems to still be fine but now there is a bucking especially when starting from another gear other than 1st. It is almost as if it is not getting enough fuel then other times it will run perfect.
