97 Grand Am GT Parts and help wanted.
I have a 1997 grand am gt and I keep finding small things wrong with it, lets start with the glove box. I took the glove box out because the latch quit working and come to find out that the dumb thing was broke but after a couple phone calls found another one and it seems to be a problem with all pontiac but what's really bugging me is I replaced my fuel filter, and transmiting and my car pops and spits like it's not getting enough gas, it does it more when I have the ac on and it has the hardest time taking off from a dead stop like it's losing power. I've heard that the muffler might have a little to do with the popping but I'm not a mechanic and i know a tune up would help as well but is there anything else I should have checked? Thank you for the help. It's greatly appreciated.

Your car problem
I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am GT...actually going to sell it after I fix it...I am wondering if your problem is the O2sensor. You might want to have it looked at.

Ya I do have an O2 sensor going bad on it but I just gave the car a tune up and it's still popping and spitting but it's running smoother, someone was saying something about a new muffler or catalic converter. It runs good but I'd like to get this problem fixed before winter or before it gets worst.
