I seriously doubt the 255 mph. Maybe theoretical, but probably not aerodynamical feasible. Look at what Bugatti had to do to the Veyron.

I doubt anyone would post that MPH for the car unless it has been proven. It was proven, so yes, it's true.

its soo freakin sexy. i believe 255. Bugatti has more weight, and probably more downforce, which is why you have to set it to top speed mode and make the rear wing drop a little. All the people that knock on viper displacement should know that the very displacement they can't stand is what keeps the torque on this viper comin, allllll the way to 255!! You think 1000 hp is a 1000 hp is a 1000 hp??? NOPE! 1000 hp with 1100 ft/lb tourque means more MPH than 1001 hp with 922 ft/lb.

seriously sucks for the people who preordered the veyron, i mean something faster, better looking and even as cheap as a f430! the only bad thing is the limited production so they're probably gonna specially choose people like ferrari with the enzo . i have a friend that loves the veyron and hates dodge's, he's gonna cry when he hears this.

well, a few mph doesn't make it a better car. if you read automobile magazine's review of the veyron (http://automobilemag.com/reviews/cou...ugatti_veryon/) they were quite impressed. the venom might be able to pull that speed, but doesn't mean it can stay there (cooling issues maybe?), or keep you planted at those speeds. plus, those with veyrons probably buy it just to say they have veyrons, and have othing else to spend their money on. i wish someone would do a full review of the venom so we can actually compare more about the two than just one number, but that's probably not gonna happen since there are so few. But if you have friends that are fans of the buggatti, i'd burst their bubble too :-D

Now the stryker (which is has a Twin Turbo) is pushing somewhat what, about 2000 hp? The times it got was somewhat similar. But then again, the Hennessey is nitrous assisted. You can either believe them or not, either way, IT'S FAST !
