Exclamation servicing heater core instructions!

I need help, my S10 has a malfunctioning heater core and is leaking into the cab, i stopped driving it....i heard i could bypass the system or plug it so that my truck will be drivable but just wont have heat.. for the meantime this will be fine then i will order the part later
does anyone know where i could get online printable instructions for the bypassing procedure or may be able to tell me?

Re: servicing heater core instructions!

well for starters what year/ engine is your truck? If you disconect both hoses going into the heater core and simply splice them together this will bypass the heatercore and you can leave it like this for as long as you have to, or until winter comes. I replaced mine on my '89 s10, but I don't know the exact process if you have a second gen.
