Unhappy probe keeps chugging...

My 95 probe (4 cyl.) keeps chugging. its like its bucking... when i accelerate. like its not getting enough fuel, then it gets shot in all at once making the car jerk. not all the time tho. it started doing it while i was on my way home from a little road trip a couple a weeks ago. i've had my fuel injectors replaced, throttle body cleaned, and fuel pressure regulator replaced within in the last week (to stop the engine from dying when i was at a stop light or right after i put it in park). it didnt chug at all in between when i got home from the trip and actually took it into the shop. and it didnt do it when i left the house right after the regulator was replaced, but on my trip home, it started again.
what could this be?

urgh... now the 'O/D off' light flashing when its doing this... HELP PLEASE!!

I havent taken it to a mechanic yet, so I dont REALLY know wutz wrong with it. I asked a guy who's in automotive school, just because we randomly started talking about cars, and he said it might just be a bad overdrive sensor. It doesnt happen all the time so I dont know how much I should worry about it, nor do I have the money to worry about it right now.
For my own peace of mind, Ive taken to restarting the car and giving it some gas for 5-10 second intervals until it stops. I dont know if this helps, or if it stops on its own, but its gets me where i'm going.
