1995 Blower Motor Removal

After my front heater blower motor quit this September I knew I had to replace it before cold weather set in here in notheast ohio. No defroster in the middle of January makes for interesting driving if not entertaining. Any way the blower motor is located behind the glove box. After spending considerable time trying to figure out how to get it out and how to remove the glove box I finally spotted the answer. It is really easy. Just open the glove box and remove all the junk and all your wifes old hair brushes. Then in the upper corners of the box are to long slits built into the plastic. Just very gently pull those corners inward toward the center of the glove box and then continue to open the box. And what do ya know the box fully opens to the floor to reveal the blower motor etc. Just remove the electrical conection and the 4 screws, pull out the rubber tubing from the firewall and out comes the blower. No need to remove the dash pannel or anything else. Couldn't be easier. Thought I would post this since this forum has been so helpful to me in the past with other fixes. (Driver window for one). Thanks to all and good luck with your next fix. On to the next crisis I always say. BJI

Thank you.

Yes, I found the front 95 Windstar blower to be quite easy to service. Hope they were as thoughtful about maintenance for that back one too.
