scirocco race car

I race a 84 or 85 scirocco on a third mile oval. I need to get it to handle better on the corners. I have plenty of horse power it just power slides into corners. Does anybody have any sugestions? Please keep in mind car has to appear stock and I can't add any weight.

Re: scirocco race car

You could try braking, or upgrading the suspension. (coil overs)

Re: scirocco race car

Inverted coil overs. Try braking, better tires. Also German cars seen to rely on stiff springs and struts to reduce body roll, which works quite well, but a better set of sway bars would help alot, especially with the stock struts

Oh, and there are settings on the struts where they meet the spindles that allow you to tweak caster/camber angles. Keep in mind you should get it realigned every time you do this, though.
